4-Day Double Gorilla Trekking

Arrive at Kigali International Airport and meet your guide. Drive north to Musanze (approximately 2 hours) through Rwanda's scenic highland landscapes. Check in to your lodge near Volcanoes National Park. Evening briefing about the next two days of gorilla trekking and a welcome dinner.

Early morning transfer to park HQ for briefing. Trek into Volcanoes National Park with expert trackers to find your first assigned gorilla family. Spend one hour observing the gorillas — their behaviors, interactions, and family dynamics. Return trek and lunch. Afternoon visit to a local cultural village or relaxation at your lodge.

A second early morning at park HQ where you will be assigned a different gorilla family. Trek into a different sector of the park for a completely new gorilla experience — every family has its own personality and dynamics. After the trek, enjoy an afternoon excursion to the Musanze Caves or the scenic Twin Lakes (Lake Burera and Lake Ruhondo).

After a relaxed breakfast, transfer to Kigali. Optional stop at the Kigali Genocide Memorial or local craft markets. Continue to Kigali International Airport for your departure flight or drop-off at your hotel.
